Why Choose Our Office?
Our office is unique because it focuses on holistic dentistry and oral systemic health. Not only do we focus on your teeth and gums, but also on how it impacts your entire body. Certain dental problems can impact your overall health, and health conditions and medications can also cause problems with your oral health.
Dr. Moris completed training at the Dawson Academy and is also involved with the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT). One of his IAOMT training focuses is removing mercury fillings from patients. Mercury causes issues if you inhale or digest it, and special protocols are followed to prevent inhalation for both the patient and the dentist.
Another life-improving service Dr. Morris offers is frenectomies to treat lip or tongue ties. The frenulum is cut to allow patients more freedom of movement. Myofunctional training helps to strengthen the muscles around this area so that patients can eat and speak more comfortably.
Our Dental Services
We offer a variety of general, cosmetic, and restorative dental procedures at our Zachary, LA dentist office. General services are focused on holistic dentistry and preventative care. In addition to removing mercury fillings and frenectomies, we practice family dentistry. This means that we treat patients of all ages. Emergency dentistry is available when needed, and we provide custom mouthguards to protect patients’ teeth during contact sports.
Cosmetic dentistry is typically seen as just an aesthetic service. But treating cosmetic concerns really helps your oral health, too. For instance, crooked teeth are harder to clean between and can make your bite uneven. Invisalign treatment can give you a smile that’s easier to clean and keeps your bite balanced, avoiding further dental problems.
Restorative dentistry focuses on treating injuries, infections, and missing teeth. We want to restore your smile, so you have one you’re proud to show off. Missing teeth are a prominent problem in seniors especially. Dental implants both look and feel the most like your natural teeth. We recommend them to every eligible patient with missing teeth.
TMJ disorders can result from uneven bite, stress, or other conditions. A combination of different things can also cause it. TMJ can cause issues with your ability to use your jaw and can cause pain and damage to your teeth. Effective TMJ treatment allows us to stop this damage from continuing to occur.
